Mummy On Leave

After one month of confinement, Jasmine aka The Mummy took “leave” to go for a gathering with her colleagues. I aka The Daddy, cover the post together with her mom to look after little Javier. Other than Breast Feeding him, I think I still can manage with it. ;p

Javier’s First Outing

Today is little Javier’s first official outing. Where to? – Takashimaya
No special reason why chose this place, only because we hope to grab some discounted stuffs over at the Taka Baby Fair. In the end, we bought nothing fantastic over there but still a very good trip for us. Javier seems to enjoy shopping… like the mother! LOL!

Btw, this stroller is good - Combi (recommended)

Operation Nose Shit

For the past few days, little Javier was encountering with some problems with his breathing especially during the night. He will cry in the middle of the night and was trying to catch his breath. We suspect that there might be something blocking his nose and it is verified after close examination, there is a nose shit in both his nostrils. We bought a baby tweezers and a nose sucker… then armed with these weapons…. Our operation start! Jasmine in charge of extracting the nose shit while I use the nose sucker to suck out the nose shit nearer to the opening for easy extraction… after a few rounds trial runs…. Operation success! It is indeed a big one... inside both of his nostril, each close to 1 cm in length.

Poor Javier.....

24 Hrs Worries

Don’t know whether Javier is too happy over the celebration or what…… he hasn’t shit for the past 24 hours…… We started to get worried about this… Cause it isn’t that normal for little Javier. But our worries are over after hearing a few waves of sound coming out from his backside. What a relief!!!! Hee Hee, that is certainly a huge load of shit…

満月 / Man Yue / Full Month

The long awaiting day has finally arrived.
We have been talking and planning for this day since Javier’s birth.
From ordering of cakes, buffet to what to wear that day.


Left home at 7.30am to pick up the cakes from a “Bird don’t Lay Eggs” place – Kg Ampat…. Macpherson Area… took me an hour to go there and return.

After his bath, my mom gave Javier his first hairdo. Nice?



Feed him, doll him up in a new set of clothes and we are ready to go!!
We have a tight schedule to keep to:- From Zhu Lin Shi (GuanYin temple) -> my parent’s house -> Si Ma Lu Guan Yin Temple -> Jasmine’s parent house -> finally back home (All within 3 hours).


Javier : "Hungry...."

The buffet came at 1.30 pm and the guest start to arrive after 2pm. It is also a good time for a get-together session with friends / colleagues / relatives. Though it is tiring after packing and cleaning up at about 10pm but it is certainly a very very enjoyable and happy day. Never really took a lot of photos, but still manage to shot a few.

Superman and Supergirl specially came down from Planet Krypton to see Javier. We are so honoured to host them!

Life..

I was looking at Javier when he is asleep last night.
Time flies, just 1 month ago, I'm still carrying him in my tummy wherever I go.
Now he is lying there having sweet dreams.
Can not help to feel how amazing life is!
From a cell to develop into a fetus and eventually come to this world as a cute baby.
I fully agree with those who state that " you have to be a mummy to know how a mummy feels".

Waves of “Bian Bian”

Talking about messy, nothing can compare with this. While changing his diaper Javier carrying on with his bianbian-ing plus urine (Wave 1).



That’s ok, cause I experienced before. But after I wiped them clean….. he go on with another round of bianbian-ing…..(Wave 2)… By this time… Javier gave me a very cute look….



That doesn’t end…. After I cleaned up wave 2… put on the diaper…. Guess what… he gave me another round (Wave 3)…. Omg… hahaha….

Hiccups

Javier is having serious hiccups.
Although the doctor said that it is normal for newborns to have hiccups, some even lasted for 9 months, but it feels terrible to see him having hiccups.
Normally, it lasts for 10 -15 mins.
It would be worse if the hiccups comes after we fed him.
He will vomit some milk.



Poor Javier, Mummy and Daddy sayang you.

DOM

I'm caught in a situation!
The massage lady asked me not to take DOM as it would create wind in baby if I doing breastfeeding.
But all the others are asking me to take it as it would help to recover my body.
I have so many bottles of DOM that can last me at least 3 years i think.
I would like to finish them if it benefits me, but I'm afraid that it would affect Javier.
Finally, I came out with a solution.
I will take DOM first and take the Jamu pills after that as it will help to release wind.
Hope this works.

Singapore 42nd National Day!!!

Javier’s EDD (Estimated Delivery Date) was supposed to be on 9 August 2007 (National Day) but he arrived 2 weeks earlier as he anxiously wanted to join in the nation’s celebration! Therefore I had taught him this…

Javier's growth

Out of sudden, I've a thought of taking care of Javier full time.
But this is pretty impossible as Jason will not be able to take care of all the expenses.
It is quite tiring to get up every night for the feeding session, especially last night.
I think our little prince is not feeling well and have difficulities to sleep.
Really have no idea what went wrong. Hopefully, as days goes by, we can get more experienced and know how to tackle such issues.

It is very interesting to see Javier growing everyday and get amazed with his growing appetite.
He can drink up to 80 ml now. Not to mention that i feel that he get heavier everyday too.
Must start to train my arms soon ..

Super Daddy

As you can see from all the blog input, Jason has been promoted to be a super daddy!
I'm really grateful that he made an effort to learn all the skills and take care of Javier.
Please don't think that my contribution to the blog is less means that I'm not doing anything.
I'm on perm night shift and has limited sleep. Most of the time, I'm in dazed.

Time passed so fast and Jason will be back to work, wondering if we can cope with the new change.

My Daughter, My Son

I brought my daughter aka Girl Girl (my dog) back home today after a week stay at my in-law’s house. Just afraid that she will not get used of having a new member in the family and start barking non-stop…. Not so bad despite a few barks…



so far… still ok…



but really have to see how she reacted when Javier woke up during the night ....

Breastfeeding

Everyone encourages breastfeeding but there's some issues I faced.
- How much has Javier drank? how many ml?
- Is he taking enough?
- How come my milk production so less?

Due to the reason that I'm having the malay massage every afternoon, I have to express out my milk earlier.
So far, no bad comment on the medala electric pump, i got.
Did not make my nipple painful. But still, I prefer Javier to latch on.
Can feel closer to him whenever breast feeding him :)

A.C Baby?

Recently we found out that Javier really afraid of hot weather, he developed some rashes on his neck and will scream time to time during sleep…. So tonight we’ll try out something…. to switch on the aircon at night.

Our analysis is correct. He slept soundly throughout. Hee Hee~

Maybe because Jasmine slept in aircon environment throughout her pregnancy, Javier get used to the cooling temperature? Will ask the baby doctor next week…

Distinction In Subject “D”

It has been a very long time since I got a distinction… haha… But I think after one week of intensive training, I got distinction in Changing Diaper!

Welcome Home!

Javier will be home today after another 2 days stay in the hospital.
The doctor diagnosed that he has jaundice on Monday and he has to be admitted to go under " suntan" for 2 days.
My tears dropped unknowningly when I feed him the last time before we left him in the arms of the nurse. I started to miss him already.
Due to the wound pain, I did not visit him for the past 2 days and I missed him terribly.
Although Jason took photos of Javier during his visit but I still miss him.
It is like something missing in my life. Maybe this is what people called bonding..
Javier should be able to discharged at 11 am and why isn't he home yet?
How I wish time passed quickly, i cannot wait to hug him again.
Will he miss me too?
